Lid is a forecast for one place. It does not ask you to make an account, and it does not sell anything you type or tap.
Location
The round button beside search asks the phone for where you are. That only happens if you tap it and then allow it. The coordinates are sent so the forecast can be read for that spot. They are not kept as a profile.
If you type a place instead, that name is sent to find the spot on the map. You can refuse location and still use Lid.
What stays on your phone
Saved places, recent searches, and the choice of °C or °F stay in this browser on this phone. Lid has no account to delete. To clear them, use the browser setting that clears data for mylid.app, or remove a saved place inside Lid.
The forecast
The weather numbers come from Open-Meteo. A place you search, or a pin you drop, is sent there to fetch the forecast. That is the only reason it leaves the phone.
